Hello Dear One,
This weekend I had a beautiful moment.
It was a clear, cold sunny day and I decided to walk along the beach in North Berwick, a beautiful seaside village.
I wanted to meet my sister and was far away in the opposite direction when she phoned, staring at the curl of the waves, the strange shapes on the rocks, glimmering ripples in the sand: a group of jubilant swimmers who nudged each other as they strode out of the sea.
I turned, saw where I needed to go and thought: how incredible is this? I have a body which lets me put one foot in front of the other to get somewhere. I know I’ll make it, just by walking. It felt so lovely.
I don’t believe we ‘should’ feel grateful – or shame ourselves if we don’t. Feel what you feel. AND there can be moments of deep appreciation for the life we’ve been given. We can gather them close.
My invitation today is this: pay attention. You don’t have to be feeling your best, or jumping for joy. Then share your lovely moments. Write them down.
Thanks for being here and being you.
All love,
Jo
