Write for your Light

& feel better

Hello Dear One,

Last week I had the honour of running a workshop for my fellow coaches in training.

I called it Luminous, based on a bigger idea I have - to connect us to the light within. If you’re rolling your eyes and hate metaphors stick with me. It began with this quote:

I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.

Your astonishing light. The effortless light. Within us, whether we see it or not.

However you feel about yourself right now, I know this: your light matters. That time you organised a holiday, made a cup of tea for a colleague, gave someone a really long hug or showed up though you didn’t quite feel like it.

Me, writing this letter every week matters. Not to everyone and not all the time, but it is a light in the dark. Other people have been light in the dark for me. It’s easy to dismiss or dim down the impact we have. And we can choose something different: choose to know our worth – and own it.

Even when you feel fed-up, frustrated, down or anxious. You’re still astonishing. So, am I.
